4. Description [Abstrak] : The United States of America is a country with the largest uses of fossil fuels in the world. The size of the fossil fuel industry in the United States is caused by the continued support from the United States government for the industry, which has resulted in environmental problems, one of which is climate change. Climate change in fact has a very bad impact on the lives of the people of the United States, thus causing one of the existing social movements, Fridays for Future, to try to stop the problem by using various strategies. This study aims to determine Fridays for Future\u2019s efforts in dealing with the issue of climate change due to the use of fossil fuels in the United States. In social movement theory there are various kinds of topics, but in this study the focus is more on the subject of social movement strategies which include advocacy strategies, critical engagement strategies, and strategies using social media. The research uses descriptive research methods and secondary data types using library study data collection techniques. The data that has been obtained is then studied and processed using social movement theory so that it can provide analysis results that are in accordance with the research objectives. The results show that in dealing with these problems, Fridays for Future uses various strategies, such as; advocacy strategy which includes School Strike for Climate and Global Climate Strike actions; then a critical engagement strategy that includes action campaigns through posters (Alien), short videos (the Denial and I Love You, California), to drama performances (If the Bells Would Ring); and the last is by utilizing social media platforms which include Stop the Dirty Deal and Stop the Willow Project actions.<\/strong><\/li>\n
