Description [Abstrak] : Tensions in Paraguay and Israel diplomatic relations occurred after the relocation of the Paraguayan embassy from Jerusalem to Tel Aviv in 2018 resulted in Israel issuing a policy to close its embassy in Paraguay and summon its ambassador, suspend and cancel some cooperation. After less than a year in 2019, relations between the two countries improved after the issuance of decree 2307\/2019 on the designation of Al Qaeda and ISIL as international terrorists and Hamas and Hezbollah as armed militias. The normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries goes through three stages, namely low-level signaling, namely when Israel gives a sign that it is starting to open up opportunities to defuse tensions, then policy revisions, namely the appointment of Yoed Megan as Israel’s new ambassador to Paraguay and the planned placement of the Consul General of Paraguay in Jerusalem, and implementation normalization in the form of reactivation of deferred cooperation as well as new cooperation agreed by the two countries.<\/strong><\/li>\n
