\namended the Citizenship Act 1955 which was named the Citizenship
\nAmendment Act 2019 (CAA 2019) which contains about illegal immigrants
\nwho are Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian from Afghanistan,
\nBangladesh, and Pakistan will be granted citizenship status of India. The
\nIndian society then rejected the CAA 2019 because it was considered
\ndiscriminatory against Muslims, the Indian government which should be able
\nto deal with the masses more openly, in fact the Indian government prefers to
\ntake repressive actions to silence them. This action attracted the attention of
\nAmnesty International as a human rights organization. In this case make a
\nquestion of how Amnesty International\u2019s response to the government\u2019s
\nrepressive actions related to the rejection of the Citizenship Amendment Act
\nin India in 2019. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive type
\nwith primary data sources in the form of a policy law on citizenship and
\nsecondary sources in the form of literature-literature related to this research
\ntopic. Then, to explain the research question, the concept of the Transnational
\nAdvocacy Network was used. The results of this study indicate that Amnesty
\nInternational respond to the government\u2019s repressive actions related to the
\nrefusal of the CAA 2019, that is: Conducting research and distributing
\ninformation related to the government\u2019s repressive actions related to the
\nrefusal of the CAA 2019, conducting a campaign action by inviting the wider
\ncommunity to immediately release an activist Human rights, namely Safoora
\nZargar who has been arrested under repressive laws and lastly Amnesty
\nInternational calls for accountability to reaffirm India\u2019s determination as a
\nsignatory country to the ICCPR where India is a party to respect all
\ninternational human rights standards.<\/strong><\/li>\n
