4. Description [Abstrak] :<\/strong> This research aim to know how the role of ASEAN to overcome trafficking in women in Indonesia from 2004 until 2008. Result of this research about role of the ASEAN to overcome trafficking in women is to motivate Indonesia to publish the law about againts criminal act trafficking in \npersons, to prevent and overcome trafficking in persons and protect trafficking victims as an adaptation from the signature of UN Convention Transnational \nOrganized Crime and its protocol, Protocol to Prevent Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Person, Especially Women and Children Suplementing The United Nation Convention Again Transnational Organized Crime in 2000. Wherein this law answer about the recommendation of ASEAN workshop at 6th SOMTC in 2006 about determining the definition and parameter of trafficking in persons that point to Palermo protocol which can be used as regional standard to collecting data in national level. There is the obstacle are lack of the knowledge about trafficking in \nperson as criminal act that still happen in Indonesian society and the mistrust of society to law intruments and agency in overcome trafficking in person especially \nwomen <\/li>\n
