Description [Abstrak] : <strong>The purpose of this study is tu analyze the strategy of the tourism office of the<br \/>\nWest Kutai Barat in managing and developing the beluq lake destination,as well<br \/>\nas to identify the obstacles faced by tourism office in managing and developing<br \/>\nthese tourist destinations. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative<br \/>\nresearch.Sources of data were obtained from the head of the tourism attraction<br \/>\ndevelopment section of the West Kutai Barat and officials from the village of<br \/>\nDempar.Data collection techniques were obtained through observation,<br \/>\ninterviews and documentation. Data analysis techinques are data collection, data<br \/>\nsimplification, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The resluts of the study<br \/>\nindicate that in managing and developing this Beluq Lake tourist destination, the<br \/>\ntourist office is still not optimal in carrying out policies due to the lack of experts<br \/>\nin the filed of management and development and the lack of budget.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>  5.
